The Bankhead Community Association (BCA) is a registered 501(c)(4) organization comprised of individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds who share a deep commitment to strengthening and uplifting our neighborhood. We believe that thriving communities are built on transparency, accountability, and collective action — values that guide everything we do.
Mission
Our mission is to increase the strength and presence of the Bankhead neighborhood by promoting a culture of growth, health, performance, and responsible leadership. We are committed to acting in the best interest of our residents, ensuring that community leadership remains transparent and inclusive.
Vision
To bridge the gap between idea and innovation, turning community-driven goals into sustainable neighborhood transformation.
We connect food choices to health and disease prevention, improve food security, and provide training for entry-level positions in food service.
02
Environmental Health
We collect credible scientific data to assess environmental stability, implement protections in hazardous conditions, and reduce pollutants to enhance wellness.
03
Recovering Mental Stability
We help restore connections affected by addiction, reduce crime and property damage through treatment, and offer guidance to maintain psychological strength.
04
Improving the Built Environment
We work to mitigate housing blight, address homelessness and related issues, expand access to healthcare and addiction treatment, increase digital connectivity, enhance infrastructure such as streets and lighting, and explore alternative power sources.
